Purpose:

This file is a resource for PW/server administrators.  When downloaded, it is an empty hak file, and it remains empty for players.

There is a limit of approximately 16,000 resources that can be contained in a NWN module file.  Resources are anything that needs/creates a file when the module is open in the toolset (when looking in NWN/modules/temp0).  The game can crash if this limit is exceeded.

For server builders/administrators, this hak enables them to move certain types of server-side-only resources out of the module file itself, which reduces the number of resources, while still keeping those files accessible by the game when it is being built in the toolset or running on a server.

File types that can safely be moved to this hak:
.nss (script source files, not used by the game when it runs)
.ncs (compiled script files, used by the game when it runs)
.utc (creature blueprints)
.utd (door blueprints)
.ute (encounter blueprints)
.uti (item blueprints)
.utm (merchant blueprints)
.uts (sound blueprints)
.utt (trigger blueprints)
.utw (waypoint blueprints)
.dlg (conversations)
.2da (only if used only by the module/server!)
